Pretend City offers a variety of field trip options for your school. All field trips are fun, educational, and hands-on play for preschool – 2 nd graders! Our field trips are aligned with Common Core standards and Preschool Learning Foundations.

Focusing on careers in the city, your students will have the opportunity to explore various jobs in the community. $mart Citizens
30 minute program that occurs before playtime. Learn all about financial literacy! Concepts of earning, spending, saving, and donating the money they earn as a working member of society through an interactive lesson. Students will have the opportunity to make choices with their hard-earned money.

Field Trips are 9:45am – 12:45pm( no adjustments available ) and include 2 hours of play (or 1.5 hours of play if doing Explore with Us or $mart Citizens) and learning with ½ hour lunch in a private room.
Itinerary
(Explore With Us and $mart Citizens are 30 minutes and will be conducted prior to free exploration)
Rates & Capacities
- $14 per student for Play Your Way
(75 students maximum/15 students minimum)
- $15 per student for Explore With Us & $mart Citizens
(60 students maximum/15 students minimum) - 100 guests total is the maximum
Required Chaperones
0-3 year olds – 1 Adult: 3 Children
4-7 year olds – 1 Adult: 5 Children
8+ year olds – 1 Adult: 8 Children
Chaperones in ratio are free! Any additional chaperones above will be the student rate

$50 deposit is required
to book and is due at the time of booking.
Final payment
and headcount are due 3 weeks prior to your field trip date.

Scholarships
- Title 1 School with 75% or more children on the free or reduced lunch program
- Preschool or ECE Center on government assistance program
- Community Organizations (such as group foster care agencies) who provide service to children ages birth through 8 years from underserved communities.
Applications who do not meet the above criteria will not be eligible for consideration.
Scholarships are only offered on TUESDAYS.
To request a scholarship, please email fieldtrips@pretendcity.org to ask about availability but please note we are almost fully booked for the 2025-2026 school year.
