White Cane Safety Day

Happy White Cane Safety Day! Today, we are partnering with Beyond Blindness t o recognize the white cane as a symbol of independence, safety, and mobility for individuals who are blind or visually impaired.
Blind Fold obstacle course (10:00a-12:30p, 9:30a start for members): In this experience, children will have the opportunity to engage in an obstacle course without their sense of sight. They will rely on another person to give them verbal cues to get through the course! This will happen with our friends from Beyond Blindness.

Mystery Box Touch and Feel Exploration: In this activity children will use their tactile experiences to guide them in touching and guessing what a variety of objects are! We will work together, use context clues and support each other in guessing what each object is.
