Way to Play Day

Friday, May 14th 10 AM – 3 PM 

Join us for this month’s Way to Play Day as we focus on language and communication skills! Play your way through the museum and let our stage staff show you how  to  p lay with  p urpose.  We will be offering FREE A ges and Stages  screenings!

Purpose Behind  t he Play :  Whole body development, communication, gross motor, fine motor, problem solving, social emotion expression. 

Time:  10:00a.m. – 3:00p.m.;  Way to Play Days occur on the 2 nd  Friday of every month

• ASQ Developmental Check-ups from 10:00 am to  12:00 pm : Assess es  speech, motor, cognitive and social areas  (first come, first served; limited spaces available).  This month’s ASQ Screening performed by  our Good to Go Program Coordinator .
• Dental Screenings from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm:  The mission of Healthy Smiles is to improve the oral health of children in Orange County through collaborative programs directed at prevention, outreach and education, access to treatment, and advocacy.

Specifically  for: Infants (birth -12 months), Young Toddlers (12-24 months), Toddlers (2-4 years), Preschoolers (4-5 years); Kindergarteners (5-6 years); and Grown-ups . 

Play Partner: Good to Go from Head to Toe and Healthy Smiles  OC

Grown-up Tip :  Respond to your baby’s gestures, sounds, and looks. When they reach for you ask if they want up and then pick them up. When they coo, coo right back at them. The more responsive you are to  baby’s  communication efforts the more they will be encouraged to develop these early communication skills.
