Join us at Pretend City as we celebrate Boys’ Day, a traditional Japanese festival dedicated to wishing health, happiness, and strength to boys. Immerse your family in cultural activities as we honor this special day together!
Music & Movement Cultural Performance (TIMES: 11am and 2:30pm)
Special Performance in the Traveling Exhibit: Kishin Daiko Drummers from the East San Grabriel Valley Japanese Community Center. This rhythmic performance will include Japanese percussive-style drumming that embodies the translation of Kishin which is energy, spirit, and heart. Kishin Daiko’s music consists of traditional and adaptations of traditional Japanese taiko pieces, along with original compositions by contemporary musicians and Kishin members.
