About the Play Partner:
Maritere R. Bellas is a Puerto Rican award-winning author, speaker, writer, podcast host and bilingual and multicultural parenting mentor. For over two decades, she has provided education, information, resources and support to families engaging in a multilingual, multicultural lifestyle. She is the creator and co-host of the Mamás 411 Podcast, listened to in 27 countries, and co-host of the Hablemos Bilingual IG Live series.
Maritere is the author of two parenting books, Raising Bilingual Children/Cómo Criar Niños Bilingues (2014) and Arroz con Pollo and Apple Pie:Raising Bicultural Children (2016), and three bilingual children’s books, including Luisito’s Island/La Isla de Luisito (2018), I Have a Secret/Tengo un Secreto (2020), and Tío Ricky Doesn’t Speak English/Tío Ricky no habla inglés (2025).
