Preparing your preschooler-supporting social and emotional development
Purpose: Teaches confidence, respect, empathy, emotions and listening

Emotional Maturity and Social Competence are two of the five domains in early development which are typically scored as high risk or vulnerable categories for children entering Kindergarten. We are focusing on Social Emotional Development because it is one of the most important milestones for parents and teachers to focus on to better prepare children for kindergarten, and for success beyond school, even towards adolescents and into adulthood. Today we are going to be presenting how to best support your child’s social and emotional development. Children develop 90% of the most critical parts of their brains before they turn 5.
