Setup time begins 30 minutes prior to your party start time. Early access is not available.

You will have the private party room for one (1) hour to celebrate with your guests then afterwards playtime in the museum until closing. Cleanup time begins promptly at the end of your one-hour celebration. All items must be removed from the museum premises within the 30-minute cleanup time. No items may be taken onto the museum floor. We recommend you bring a cooler to store any perishable items in your vehicle.

Your party and room times cannot be extended if you or your guests arrive late.

Your party package includes admission for up to 25 guests – this includes all adults and children over 12 months. The birthday child is free. Additional guests are permitted for $15/each but cannot exceed the maximum room capacity of 50 people.

To secure a booking, we require a non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of $150.00. The deposit will apply toward the party total. Our party staff will settle your final balance at the conclusion of the party before you join your guests for playtime.

Cancellations will result in forfeiture of the $150 non-refundable deposit.

The party family is responsible for room set up and clean up as well as loading and unloading party items. We ask that party families remove all items from the museum premises by the end of the cleanup time and dispose of such items appropriately.

No items including food, gifts, or other party items may be left in the party room or taken onto the museum floor. We recommend you bring a cooler to store perishable items in your vehicle.

Our party staff will set up tables and chairs before your arrival then sweep floors and clean tables & chairs after use. We will provide use of a party cart to assist with loading for both setup and cleanup.

Our party staff will welcome and wristband all your guests. At the conclusion of your celebration, our party staff will settle your final balance before you join your guests in playtime.

Latex balloons, glitter, confetti, pinatas, alcohol, and open flames are not permitted. Mylar balloons are permitted with prior approval by the Sales Coordinator for a $15 fee. Only candles on the birthday cake are allowed.

Nails, staples, glue, or similar materials are not allowed on any walls. Tape is acceptable. We encourage you to ask for guidance about appropriate materials from our party staff.

Entertainment such as characters or face painters require prior approval by the Sales Coordinator. Entertainers and vendors are only permitted within the private party room for the time as outlined in the reservation. Entertainers are not allowed on the museum floor. All vendors and entertainment must adhere to the museum policies and prohibited items.

Your access to the private party room and its resources are limited to the time as noted in your reservation. Early access is not available.

Each party room has a refrigerator and sink available for use during your celebration. We will supply you with a rolling cart to assist with your setup and cleanup. The party family is responsible for loading and unloading party items. We recommend you bring a cooler to store perishable items in your vehicle after the celebration.

Party supplies such as plates, napkins, cups, utensils, candles, cake cutter, and a lighter are not included.  Please ask our party staff for assistance as some items may be available for an additional fee.

Pretend City is a public space which encourages all guests to follow our “Community Codes.” Children must always be supervised by a grown-up upon entering the museum. Pretend City is an electronic free facility so parents can enjoy quality time with their children. We encourage all visitors to play in peace and be good citizens by keeping Pretend City running smoothly: Reset, Clean-up, Cooperate, and Help.

Adherence to museum policies by all party guests are the responsibility of the party family.
