Way To Play Day

Way to Play Days are held on the 2 nd Friday of every month. This event allows parents and caregivers to complete free health screenings including developmental, dental, vision, and/or speech. Local child development experts are on site to provide information and assist grown-ups with questions they may have regarding their child’s development.
*Admission ticket is NOT required to have screening completed
Play Partners:
New York Life Health Insurance will be on site to educate parents about a Child ID. With a Child ID, there is a 60% faster response rate if a child goes missing. Basic information and children’s fingerprints are all that is needed to get started!
Children’s Home Society of California (CHS) is a nonprofit organization that provides a variety of services to children and families in California and nationwide, such as subsidized child care services to eligible families and resource and referral, educational, and informational services to families, child care providers, and the community.
Meet staff from Miller Children’s and Women’s Hospital – one of only eight free-standing children’s hospitals in California. Their Child Life Specialists help patients adjust to their hospital stay and m aintain their daily, normal childhood activities. Family resource centers, parent mentors and parent advocates are available to ease the anxieties for hospitalization for the entire family. We value patient safety and ensure that quality initiatives are met.
Chapman University Doctor of Physical Therapy students will be on site to observe and learn about children and play!

Their vision is for all young children in Orange County to have healthy social and emotional development and access to early mental health supports. Start Well supports ECE providers and families to ensure they are skilled and competent in providing a nurturing environment focused on social and emotional well-being and behavioral health of all children.
