Nowruz (Persian New Year) Celebration

Welcome spring and celebrate Nowruz also known as Persian New Year with us! Nowruz is a celebration of the new year! It happens every spring and is celebrated mostly by people from the countries of Iran, Afghanistan, and parts of Central Asia. Nowruz means, “new day.” and is all about welcoming new seasons and new beginnings! People clean their households to rid of old clothing and make space for the new. They also have a table called the “Haft-Seen” where they put seven important items that start with the letter “S” in their lan guage, Farsi . These items represent health, love, and good luck!  🌸 Join us for interactive Storytimes, music, and movement.
